Time is running out for an Assembly bill that would toughen the penalties for anyone driving a recreational vehicle such as snowmobiles, boats, and ATV’s under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
In Wisconsin, drunk drivers who lose their licenses may still operate recreational vehicles. There is no connection between motor vehicle licenses and drunk driving recreational vehicle citations.
While the bill is by no means “dead”, the current State Assembly session ends March 15th and the recreation vehicle bill is not scheduled to be heard.
